Surgical Definition. Physical Freedom.

Gynecomastia correction at Freyea is a combined procedure focused on both volume reduction and skin tightening. We treat the male chest by addressing both the fatty component and the underlying glandular tissue which often cannot be reduced through diet or exercise. By meticulously removing the excess mass and contouring the surrounding area, we restore a masculine shape that allows for total confidence in fitted clothing or shirtless activities.

What Gynecomastia Surgery Can Address

Excess breast tissue (glandular) regardless of body weight

Persistent fat deposits on the chest ('pseudo-gynecomastia')

Sagging or loose skin following weight loss in the chest area

Puffy nipples caused by localized glandular enlargement

Asymmetrical chest development in the male profile

Self-consciousness in swimwear or tight-fitting shirts

Structural Masculinity

Male chest contouring is a surgical exercise in negative space. Our philosophy is to recreate the flat, firm foundation of the pectoral muscles. By prioritising the removal of the fibrous glandular tissue—which is the most common cause of visible protrusion—we ensure that the chest remains flat even as your body weight fluctuates.

Is Gynecomastia Surgery Right for You?

Ideal candidates are those whose breast development is stable and not caused by underlying medical conditions or medications that are currently being taken. We perform a physical examination to distinguish between glandular tissue and fatty excess.

  • You have a firm, disc-like mass under the nipple area
  • Your chest has a rounded, feminine shape despite fitness
  • You have reached a stable weight but the chest remains unchanged
  • You do not have uncontrolled medical conditions or active infections
  • You have realistic expectations about the achievable contour
The Freyea Signature
Dual-Method Pectoral Contouring.

The Freyea Signature

We utilise high-definition liposuction to resolve the fatty component and a specialized periareolar excision for the glandular core. Our signature difference lies in 'feathered' contouring, where we ensure the transition from the chest to the lateral ribs and armpits is smooth, avoiding the 'sunken' look often seen with aggressive glandular removal alone.

The Sculpting Roadmap

Every procedure is a bespoke design. We map out the areas of glandular density and fatty distribution to ensure a fully integrated final result.

01

Topographic Analysis

Mapping the glandular core and the boundaries of fatty distribution to identify precise extraction zones.

02

HD-Liposuction

Removing the fatty component to thin the tissue layer and refine the pectoral borders.

03

Glandular Excision

Removing the firm glandular tissue through a small, discreet incision along the edge of the nipple.

04

Dermal Redraping

Ensuring the skin sits flat against the muscle wall with minimal tension to avoid visible scaring.

Liposuction vs. Excision

While liposuction can remove fat, it cannot remove firm glandular breast tissue. Most permanent results require micro-excision of the gland to ensure the 'puffy' appearance does not return.

Skin Elasticity & Lifts

In cases with significant skin laxity (Grade 4 gynecomastia), we may combine volume removal with a small skin lift to ensure the chest remains tight and toned rather than sagging after volume is lost.

Procedure Details

Timelines depend on the degree of glandular tissue and Whether skin removal is required for advanced cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a permanent solution?
Yes. Glandular breast tissue does not regenerate. As long as you maintain a relatively stable weight, the results are permanent.
Are there going to be visible scars?
In most cases, the incision is placed along the lower semicircular edge of the areola (where the dark skin meets the light skin), making it very discreet once healed.
Can diet and exercise fix it?
If the enlargement is due to fat (pseudo-gynecomastia), exercise can help. However, glandular tissue (true gynecomastia) is fibrous and cannot be burned off through fitness.
How long until I see the final result?
You will see a flat chest immediately, but final results settle in 3–6 months as the swelling resolves and the skin contracts over the muscle.
Is the procedure painful?
Most describe it as reaching a peak of 'heavy chest-day soreness' for the first 3 days, which is well-managed with standard medication.
What is a 'Compression Vest'?
A specialized garment worn for several weeks post-surgery to minimize swelling and help the skin adhere smoothly to the pectoral muscles.
When can I go back to the gym?
Walking is fine immediately. You can return to lower body work in 2-3 weeks, but heavy chest exercises should wait for 6 weeks.
Can it be caused by steroids or supplements?
Yes, certain bodybuilding supplements or medications can trigger glandular growth. We will discuss your history during the consultation.
Is it a common procedure?
It is one of the most common and highest-satisfaction procedures we perform for men at Freyea.
