Relief. Proportion. Symmetry.

Breast reduction at Freyea is often a life-changing procedure that addresses both physical discomfort and aesthetic concerns. We meticulously remove excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to create a breast size that is in harmony with your frame. By repositioning the nipple-areola complex higher and tightening the remaining skin, we provide a more youthful, lifted contour that significantly improves quality of life and self-confidence.

What Breast Reduction Can Address

Chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain from heavy breasts

Shoulder grooving caused by bra straps

Skin irritation and rashes in the inframammary fold

Restricted physical activity due to breast weight

Breast sagging (ptosis) and loss of youthful shape

Large asymmetrically sized breasts

The Lightweight Silhouette

We believe that beauty and comfort are inextricably linked. Our approach to breast reduction is to find the 'geometric ideal' for your frame—a size that allows for effortless movement, improved posture, and a natural, lifted appearance that settles perfectly over time.

Is Breast Reduction Right for You?

Ideal candidates are those experiencing persistent physical symptoms or self-consciousness due to breast size. We assess your breast anatomy, tissue quality, and overall health to ensure a safe and definitive outcome.

  • You have breasts that are too large for your body frame
  • You suffer from chronic pain in your back, neck, or shoulders
  • You have restricted physical activity or exercise
  • You have grooves in your shoulders from bra straps
  • You have realistic expectations about the surgical outcome and scars
The Freyea Signature
Vertical Pattern Structural Refinement.

The Freyea Signature

We prioritise techniques that minimize industrial-length scars, often utilizing vertical (lollipop) incisions where appropriate. Our signature difference lies in internal tissue 'auto-augmentation'—rearranging your own tissue to provide long-lasting internal support and upper pole fullness without the need for implants.

The Design of Proportions

Every reduction is a custom anatomical design. We focus on the precision of the new nipple position and the balance of volume between the upper and lower poles.

01

Topographic Mapping

Marking the body while standing to identify the exact degree of ptosis and volume excess.

02

Internal Reshaping

Strategic removal of glandular and fatty tissue while preserving the internal vascular network.

03

Nipple Repositioning

Moving the nipple-areola complex to its new, youthful height for a more energetic profile.

04

Tensional Closure

Meticulous internal suturing to support the new shape and minimize the visibility of external scars.

Vertical vs. Anchor Incisions

A vertical (lollipop) incision avoids the horizontal scar in the crease, while an anchor pattern is used for more significant reductions. We will choose the most discreet option that achieves your desired volume goal.

Maintaining Sensation

We utilise pedicle-based techniques that maintain the connection of the nipple to its nerve supply and blood flow, prioritising the preservation of sensation and future breastfeeding potential where possible.

Procedure Details

Every surgery is unique. Your recovery timeline will depend on the extent of the reduction and your body's natural healing capacity.

Duration

3 to 4 Hours

Recovery

Most return to desk work in 10–14 days; full activity in 6 weeks

Results

Permanent volume removal; long-term relief from physical symptoms

Restoration Timeline

First 48 Hours

Surgical dressings are in place. You will feel a significant 'lightness' immediately, though some soreness is expected.

Week 1-2

Initial swelling begins to subside. Staples or sutures are removed or maturing. Most daily activities can be resumed carefully.

Month 1-3

The breasts begin to 'settle' and soften into their final position. Scar maturation is actively managed with specialized gels.

6 Months

Final shape and softness are achieved. Internal healing is complete and scars continue to fade.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I still be able to breastfeed?
Many women can still breastfeed after a reduction, but it depends on the technique used. We prioritise techniques that preserve ductal connectivity when requested.
How much weight can be removed?
This is based on your safety and anatomical limits. We aim for a size that provides maximum relief while maintaining a beautiful, natural shape.
Will my insurance cover it?
In some cases where significant physical symptoms are documented, insurance may provide coverage. We can assist with the necessary documentation.
Are the results permanent?
Yes. The tissue removed does not grow back. However, significant weight gain or future pregnancy can alter the breast shape over time.
Is it a very painful procedure?
Most describe it as 'pressure' and 'tightness' rather than sharp pain. It is typically very well managed with oral medication for the first week.
What happens to the nipples?
The nipples are moved upwards as a physical unit to their new, more youthful position. They remain attached to their underlying blood vessels and nerves.
How long before I can wear a normal bra?
You will wear a surgical support bra for about 4–6 weeks. After that, you can graduate to soft wireless bras, and finally underwires after 3 months.
Will I have large scars?
Scars are necessary for skin removal. We use meticulous closure techniques to ensure they fade as much as possible, maturing into fine, pale lines.
When can I exercise again?
Walking is fine immediately. You can return to lower body work in 2-3 weeks, and full-impact exercise after 6 weeks.
